What's This?

Continuing on our journey to help improve the sport and build excitement for flag football all across the US and world, we are ready to announce our new Battle Rating ™ point system that will roll out this year after Battle ™ Orlando for the 2017/2018 circuit! All year long on each of our Battle Circuit events and other affiliated participating tournaments, players will be able to earn a Battle Rating ™ for their performance and cumulative points towards tiered rewards and prizes leading into our World Championships for 2018 to crown a true world champion of flag football! While the full details are yet to be announced, here is some more info with questions and answers to get you started!

How is the Battle Rating ™ determined?

Your teams Battle Rating ™ is not just determined by how you finish in the standings, although that is a big part of it, but also factors in your total wins/losses/win%, points scored and points against from each tournament you participate in. Your Battle Rating ™ will be an average of each tournament you participate in, giving you the ability to increase your rating throughout the year, where we’ll be able to crown the top teams in each division throughout the world of flag football!

What will a Battle Rating ™ tell you?

The Battle Rating will put the world on notice as to who the top teams in the state, country and world truly are based on their combined performance throughout each event on the Battle Circuit ™. In contrast to the points which are a multiplier of your rating and add up throughout the year, the Battle Rating™ makes you earn your elite status on merit and competition and not just who can play in the most events. It also creates a system where EVERY GAME MATTERS. Tanking pool play to stay fresh will have an impact on your final rating and points since points scored/against and win % are factors, so make sure you show up to each and every game you play in!

What are Battle Rating ™ points and what are they be used for?

Your Battle Rating ™ points are a multiplier of your Battle Rating, where the general idea is you will earn at a minimum an amount of points equal to your Battle Rating ™ for that event, and our national Battle Circuit ™ tournaments may offer 2x or 3x points for participating. Battle Rating ™ points will be used to reward the teams that participate in many events, regardless of what division or how they place in each. Our rewards will be announced at Battle Orlando ™ this year but we assure you they will be worth earning and playing for!

Who’s eligible to earn points and rewards?

Points and ratings are award on a team by team basis, so it will be important to register using the same team name per your location and format at every event to make sure you are awarded accordingly. Every format we offer will be eligible to earn points, where the top divisions in each are capable of earning a higher rating at every tournament. For instance, A divisions will earn a rating between 90-100, B divisions between 80-90, etc. If you play on the same team name in a separate division, they will be considered as 2 separate teams for point purposes.

Where can I earn Battle Rating ™ points?

You can earn Battle Rating ™ points at each Battle Circuit ™ tournament and other affiliated regional events across the country starting after Battle Orlando ™ this upcoming Memorial Day! If you are an event organizer and want to have your tournament included as an affiliate in order to be able to award Battle Rating™ points among other benefits, contact us now with information about your event!
