WHAT ARE BATTLE POINTS & RANKINGS

Battle Points are the FFWCT’s powered by National Flag Football’s reward and ranking system provided to teams throughout the year through participation in various affiliated tournaments.

WHAT ARE POINTS USED FOR

Battle Points will be used for determining seeding into our National Championship tournaments. Battle Points will now be used to determine the draft order for pool play seeding. Points will accumulate throughout the year and will determine our rankings for the top teams across each division from all over the world!

HOW DO YOU EARN BATTLE POINTS

Battle Points will be earned by participating in various FFWCT powered by National Flag Football hosted and affiliated tournaments. You will earn a set amount of Participation Points simply for playing, in addition multiplier points will be awarded based off of your team’s top 10 performance as well as bonus Champion Points for winning a division. See the charts below for a full breakdown of how many points may be earned at each event.

  • Participation Points are awarded just for playing in a Tournament, per the chart below.
  • Each team will receive 10 points for every tournament that they enter.
  • Champions Points are awarded to teams who place in the top 10 of each division at a FFWCT powered by National Flag Football affiliated tournament, per the chart below.
  • Points are based on how many teams are in your division x a multiplier of 100.
  • Champions Points are awarded to teams who place in the top 10 of each division at FFWCT hosted or affiliated events, per the charts below.

THE CHASE TO THE CHAMPIONSHIPS

To reward teams for their commitment to our series as well as their excellence on the field, we will be rewarding the TOP 5 OVERALL RANKED teams with some INCREDIBLE prizes.

EACH EVENT THAT TEAMS PARTICIPATE IN THEY CAN RECEIVE POINTS IN 1 OF 3 WAYS

Participation Battle Points

Competitive division teams will receive 50 points for participating in a tournament. Recreational division teams will receive 5 points for participating in a tournament.

Order Of Finish Battle Champions Points

1st place will receive 500 points decreasing by 50 points until no points are awarded. 1st place will receive 50 points decreasing by 5 points until no points are awarded.

COMPETITIVE DIVISION CHAMPION BATTLE BONUS POINTS

Division Champions will receive Battle Bonus Points equal to the amount of teams in there division x 50 points.

Division Runner Up’s will receive Battle Bonus Points equal to the amount of teams in there division x 25 points.

EXAMPLE: If there were 12 teams in the Competitive Division the Champion will receive 50 points x 12 teams = 600 points. If there were 12 teams in the Competitive Division the Runner Up will receive 25 points x 12 teams = 300 points.

RECREATIONAL DIVISION CHAMPION BATTLE BONUS POINTS

Division Champions will receive Battle Bonus Points equal to the amount of teams in there division x 5 points.

Division Runner Up’s will receive Battle Bonus Points equal to the amount of teams in there division x 2.5 points.

EXAMPLE: If there were 12 teams in the Recreational Division the Champion will receive 5 points x 12 teams = 60 points. If there were 12 teams in the Recreational Division the Runner Up will receive 2.5 points x 12 teams = 30 points.

Q) What events will Battle Points be used at for seeding?

A) The 2018 season started March 1st, so all FFWCT powered by National Flag Football hosted or affiliated events will use Battle Points for seeding through our Battle Orlando tournament next January 17-20, 2019.

Q) When will Battle Points reset?

A) Battle Points will reset on January 21, 2019 going into our 2019 season.

Q) Can Battle Points be transferred to another team, format or division?

A) No. Battle points will stay with a coach, the team name (which can’t be altered) and the division which he is playing. The players on those teams may change, but not the mentioned id.
