WHAT IS EXPECTED

TRAVEL & CHECK-IN

All Officials are required to arrange their own travel accommodations.

USA Flag is NOT booking hotels for officials for this event. Any Official that books a hotel will receive a $65 per night Hotel Stipend. Must show proof of hotel reservation receipt. Stipend will be added to your final pay.

COMPENSATION

Officials payment per game range for the following styles:

  • 4v4/5v5/6v6 – $15

You will be paid via PayPal (may take 1-5 business days) or check mailed after event (within 7-10 business days).

Zoom call training session will be mandatory. Details are TBD and will be communicated by your style Officials Director via GroupMe. If you do not currently have GroupMe, please download the app to your phone and make a profile. 

GAMEDAY

Officials must arrive one hour prior to their first scheduled game and will be required to be available all days of their style’s game days.

The USA Flag 2023 Phoenix Open will be held in on December  9 & 10, 2023

Fill out the form below to apply. In order to Officiate this event, you will need to fill out an online access test that will be sent by email. We will notify you if you have been selected. Applications will be accepted until November 24th at the latest.

Please verify with our staff that you have been selected before booking your travel. Filling out the form alone does not guarantee you will be selected, all officials will be notified individually.

  • (Please note the gear must be functional, non-faded, non-tattered or otherwise not serviceable).
  • Required Player and Non-Player Conduct: 1) Players, coaches and spectators must keep their comments profanity free. 2) Disrespectful language, racist, sexist, homophobic remarks, obscene gestures / behavior, and bullying are prohibited. 3) Foul play will not be tolerated. 4) Any staff member or game official that hears or sees anything that leads them to believe an infraction of the required personal conduct outline has been committed the person responsible may dismissed for the rest of the tournament. 5) Fighting will lead to an immediate ejection for the remainder of the tournament, possible suspension or even a lifetime exclusion.

  • Please list your flag football officiating experience, high school or above officiating experience, general history and information about you along with any notes worth mentioning.

  • If you choose this method of payment it may take 1-5 days to go through to your account. If you don't currently have a PayPal account and create one later, just send your Director your PayPal email address.

  • GroupMe - Your style Officials Director will further communication with you via GroupMe. This will include information regarding your hotel, schedule and training clinics. If you do not currently have GroupMe, please download the app to your phone and make a profile.
