COVID-19 Safety Protocols for Arlington National Championships

The Arlington National Championships are 100% good to go for tonights 7pm start times! Due to today’s update from the governor with added restrictions, all individuals attending the tournament will now be required to wear a mask once entering the facility until you step on the field. Players and officials are not required to wear a mask once on the field while playing their games, but will be asked to while on the sideline or bench, along with spectators and staff. Our apparel sponsor Addix will have masks available for purchase at the entrance to the facility, near lot “E”. While supplies last, so we will have options available on-site.

 

With the Arlington National Championships approaching here in a couple days we wanted to address the safety protocols and requests that will be in place for the upcoming event. The FFWCT will be following all state required guidelines for players, spectators and staff. Below are all precautions that are recommended and will be in place for the event this weekend.

NOTICE

There may be enhanced risks of being in direct contact with anyone age 65 or older for 14 days after participating in a sport event or practice.

PRECAUTIONS

Any staff, participant or spectator who is experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 is asked to not attend the event in any capacity. Symptoms include cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, diarrhea, feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than or equal to 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit, and known close contact with a person who is lab confirmed to have COVID-19.

Any staff, participant or spectator exhibiting new or worsening signs or symptoms of possible COVID-19 will be isolated with notification sent to local health department and will not be allowed to return to the event.

Hand sanitizer stations will be set up at multiple locations throughout the venue and recommended for use by staff, players and spectators regularly.

All staff will be trained on appropriate cleaning and disinfection, hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette.

All staff will be screened each day for the recommended list of symptoms and worsening signs of possible symptoms of COVID-19.

Any staff with underlying conditions may be limited from attending or staffing the event.

All participants, spectators and staff may consider wearing cloth face coverings over the nose and mouth or non-medical grade face masks.

Individuals should avoid being in a group larger than 10 individuals. Within these groups, individuals should, to the extent possible, minimize in-person contact with others not in the individual’s household. Minimizing in-person contact includes maintaining 6 feet of separation from individuals. When maintaining 6 feet of separation is not feasible, other methods should be utilized to slow the spread of COVID-19, such as wearing a face covering or mask, washing or sanitizing hand frequently, and avoiding sharing utensils or other common objects.

All non-player or coach spectators and fans will be required to maintain a 10 yard distance from the sidelines and endzones of all playing fields at all times. It is recommended they also maintain a 6 foot distance from other fans and spectators during this time.
