This Louisiana inspired two-day festival lines up perfectly with Battle Galveston, taking place on April 26-27, 2019. All the fun happens at Tin Cup’s Caddy Shack on Stewart Road. 2. Moody Gardens
Speaking of family fun, Moody Gardens will put your entire crew in a good mood! Check out the Aquarium Pyramid before heading to the Reef Rescue Virtual Reality Experience. And the kiddos will love the Rainforest Pyramid. It’s easy to see, Moody Gardens is not just another day at the beach. Today Moody Gardens is one of the premier attractions in the entire Southwest.
3. Pleasure Pier
Pleasure Pier is one of the few spots in the world that has this many rides over the water. You’ll be flying over guests on the Pier, soaring over the Gulf of Mexico and anticipating your next ride. For decades, the historic Pleasure Pier served as a tourism catalyst for Galveston’s Seawall Boulevard and the Texas Gulf Coast. More than 40 years after the original Pleasure Pier was destroyed by Hurricane Carla, Landry’s has transformed the Pleasure Pier into a world-class amusement park for all ages.
4. Galveston State Park
A “Top 5” in our Top 5! The Galveston Island State Park was named one of the top 5 “Best Gulf Coast Beaches” by Travel Channel in 2013. The park offers a quiet oasis on the island’s West End where visitors can explore the Gulf of Mexico or Galveston Bay. Families can enjoy kayak tours, beach and surf explorations, bird walks, nature field trips, and fishing clinics at no cost.
5. Schlitterbahn Waterpark Galveston
A one-mile river connects three distinct sections of Schlitterbahn in Galveston. The water park is home to four high thrill speed slides including Rohr!, Cliffhanger, and the immersive Screaming Serpents body slide.
